For me, Travel is joy. Travel is life.
As a fat, Black, queer, woman from the American South, I'd always had reservations about traveling the world. I was never sure if I'd feel welcomed or safe based on my identities or if spaces had the physical accomodations that I might need to move around and explore. But, I knew there was so much more world for me to see and expereince.
So, I've spent the last decade traveling the world for leisure; much of that time spent on solo vacations to destinations where I didn't speak the language or understand all the cultural nuances. Once I was able to navigate the challenges that arose on each journey, I always discovered another piece of myself. I found friends, fun, FOOD!, and family along the way. The time spent as a sojurner through various continents and cultures has allowed me to create adventures, memories, and community that I never knew I was missing. And I'm here to help you do the same.
Coming from the world of diversity, inclusion, and equity gives me the expertise and ability to understand and share in those cultural nuances and, simultaneously, attend to the unique needs of each individual Sojourner, while building authentic connection and community around the globe.
